The Global Registration Identifier for Donors (GRID) serves as a globally unique identifier for hematopoietic progenitor cell (HPC) donors and potential donors. The GRID Checksum Calculator can be used to calculate the checksum portion of the GRID based on the Issuing Organization Number (ION) and Registration Donor Identifier (RDI) elements. The program will display the full GRID (ION + RDI + checksum). This program can also be used as an auditing tool to verify an existing GRID.
