ICCBBA partnered with AABB to host the ICCBBA Learning Lab at the 2025 AABB Annual Conference on October 28. Participants engaged in hands-on activities with ISBT 128 labels while learning to identify key components of the standard and its essential role in blood and cellular therapy labeling. The session guided attendees in creating properly formatted labels, recognizing common labeling errors, and understanding the importance of 2-D symbology in data encoding and scanning efficiency. The event was a great success, offering practical experience and valuable insights for professionals across the field.

The acronym ICCBBA is derived from the International Council for Commonality in Blood Banking Automation.
