Overview

Vendors who supply ISBT 128 products play an important role in the global adoption of the ISBT 128 Standard. Information about individual licensed vendors and their production can be found using our Vendor Lookup Tool.

Facilities should ensure that products that utilize ISBT 128 (e.g., software, labels, etc.) be purchased from companies that are licensed with ICCBBA.

If your company is not listed in the licensed vendor section, please contact ICCBBA.

To ensure ISBT 128 continues to meet the needs of its users, ICCBBA meets with Technical Advisory groups (TAGs). ICCBBA-licensed vendors may participate in TAGs as observers. For more information on TAGs, click here.

LICENSED VENDOR BENEFITS

Licensed vendors are granted the following benefits from ICCBBA. Rights to these benefits are forfeited if a vendor ceases to maintain licensed status because its license agreement expires or is terminated.

USE OF ICCBBA RECOGNITION MARKS

Licensed Vendor Mark

Subject to the terms of their separate license agreement with ICCBBA, licensed vendors may use the “ICCBBA Licensed Vendor” mark on official documentation, websites, brochures, advertisements, and other publicity material. It provides a readily recognized indication that the organization is currently a licensed vendor.

For a high-resolution Licensed Vendor Mark, please contact support@iccbba.org.

ISBT 128 Supported Product Mark

Subject to the terms of their separate license agreement with ICCBBA, licensed vendors may use the “ISBT 128 Supported” mark to indicate products that support the use of ISBT 128 Standard data structures. The mark provides a readily recognized indicator that a product has been designed to support ISBT 128. The mark may be used on products and supporting documentation, brochures and other publicity material as long as it is clearly associated with one or more specific products all of which support ISBT 128. The level of compliance with the standard is a matter for the vendor to specify, and customers to assure. Use of this mark does not imply any specific level of compliance has been achieved.

For a high-resolution ISBT 128 Supported Mark, please contact support@iccbba.org.

Weblinks From/To the ICCBBA Website

Licensed vendors may provide ICCBBA with web links, which will be included in online vendor profiles – this provides ICCBBA website visitors a link to vendor websites. Subject to the terms of their separate license agreement with ICCBBA, ICCBBA also grants licensed vendors the right to include a link to the ICCBBA website on their corporate websites.

Inclusion on ICCBBA’S Listing of Licensed Vendors

ICCBBA publishes a list of licensed vendors on its website. Lists will also be available at major international congresses where ICCBBA is represented. ICCBBA will provide copies of the licensed vendor list to organizations inquiring about products for use with the ISBT 128 Standard.

Vendors may provide and update ICCBBA with information for Vendor Profiles in the Licensed Vendor Database via ICCBBA’s Licensed Vendor Update Form.

Certificate of Licensed Status

ICCBBA issues an annual certificate to licensed vendors confirming their status. Copies of this certificate may be forwarded to clients to provide proof of status.

Participation in Technical Advisory Group (TAG) Meetings

Licensed vendors are invited to participate in TAG meetings. These groups help maintain and propose changes to the ISBT 128 Standard. For more information on TAGs, please click here.

Frequently Asked Questions

The certificate serves as official documentation of your authorization to employ the ISBT 128 system. Please feel free to display this certificate within your facility to showcase your compliance and dedication to excellence.

Yes, certificates are available to both facilities and vendors.
An active registration with ICCBBA, a $0 balance, and an annual return form must be submitted for the current year to receive a certificate. Note: If your facility or company is newly registered, an annual return form is not required until the following year.
Both facility and vendor certificates are emailed to the primary contact on the account.
Certificates are emailed in a batch at the beginning of each month. For example: if you pay your annual fee and submit your annual return form in February, you will receive your certificate at the beginning of March.

If for any reason you need your certificate expedited, please ensure that you have submitted an annual return and reach out to us at support@iccbba.org.

Both facility and vendor certificates are active for one calendar year. Certificates expire on January 31st of the following calendar year to allow the processing of the new invoice and payment, regardless of when payment is made.
i.      Example: If your account submits payment and their annual return form on January 10th, 2025, or July 10th, 2025, then your certificate will expire on January 31st, 2026.

To request facility certificates for linked FINs, please submit an Associated Annual Return for the linked FIN(s) and submit a request to support@iccbba.org.

The facility and vendor names on the certificates reflect what is in our current database. If your facility recently had a name change and you need an updated certificate issued, please request a name change form at support@iccbba.org. After the name change form is processed in our database, the updated certificate will be issued.

To ensure that you receive your certificate in a timely manner, please submit your annual return form at the time of payment to avoid delays. You may submit your annual return online at: https://iccbba.org/user-forms/
